Preparation of Hazelnut Cupcakes:
We are always looking for new Cupcake recipes to try and the one we bring you is one of the last we have tried and we liked. After trying some variants, we have adjusted the ingredients to our liking, and it is the recipe that we will now detail step by step, we hope you like it.
To start, we are going to sift the flour together with the yeast and put it in a bowl, to leave it free of cakes or lumps it may have. Then we will chop or crush the hazelnuts as finely as we can, which we will do with the help of a mortar or a mincer, so that the pieces of hazelnut are as small as possible. Turn on the oven and preheat it, so we are going to turn it on with the heat activated from above and below and at 180ºC (356ºF) of temperature.
Segumos preparing the dough for the Cupcakes by placing the slightly melted butter next to the sugar in another container, and beat until they form a creamy paste. Once mixed, we are adding the eggs while continuing to mix, so that the eggs are well integrated. Then add a teaspoon of vanilla extract and milk, continue mixing. If you can use an automatic rod mixer, we recommend it, for convenience and because the dough will be better mixed than if we do it by hand.
Finally we are going to add the hazelnut pieces by the dough and finally beat with more intensity so that the mixture is as homogeneous as possible. Try not to have lumps, because it is unpleasant to take one when you eat the Cupcake. With that dough we are going to fill the Cupcake molds, to which we put the paper capsules before, and put them in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, checking the inside when we see that they are browning on the outside. After that time our Cupcakes must be perfect to remove and let cool outside the mold at room temperature. Check before removing from the oven that they are made inside, you can use a toothpick. Then let them cool before unmolding them if you are going to present them without the molds.
The decoration that we recommend for this type of Cupcakes is a cheese buttercream, that if you do not know how to prepare it you can see the process and the necessary ingredients on our home page, where you can learn to prepare it step by step. To that frosting you can add a few pieces of hazelnut on top to give a decorative touch and additional flavor. And if you prefer, another decoration that we have tried is simply to spread hazelnut butter on top, although for some it may be too intense a combination. Try and decide for yourself.
As always, the possibilities are many and varied, so use your imagination to try new recipes.
